Managing performance involves a complex web of information, knowledge, behaviors, and skills all converging upon the partnership for performance between the manager and the performer. Jeff RussellAbout the Presenter

Jeffrey Russell, co-director of Russell Consulting, Inc., specializes in helping organizations achieve their goals by successfully responding to the challenges of continuous change. With a focus on leadership, strategic thinking, leading change, and performance coaching, Jeff has guided organizations as diverse as Fortune 500 firms, social and public sector organizations, and small family businesses toward their goals. Jeff received his Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from the UW-Madison where he serves as an ad hoc faculty member for the Small Business Development Center. Jeff also is an adjunct faculty member for UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, UW-Lacrosse, and UW-Colleges.

With an emphasis on leadership, strategy, change, and performance improvement, Jeff’s teaching experience includes presentations to international audiences and clients on such topics as leading change, developing resilience, conducting employee-centered performance reviews, problem solving and decision making, understanding and changing organizational culture, and developing strategic thinkers.

Jeff is a frequent presenter at local, national, and international conferences. Most recently he presented at the 2009 ASTD International Conference; the 2009 Jamaica Employers Federation Convention; the 2007 Wisconsin State SHRM Conference; and the 2009 Minnesota Project Management Institute’s Professional Development Days.

Jeff and his wife and business partner Linda have co-authored eight books. Recent publications include: Managing the Problem Employee, Leading Change Training, Strategic Planning Training, Change Basics, Strategic Planning 101, and, most recently, Ultimate Performance Management, (ASTD Press, 2009).
